26 years of Street Fighter means a lot of change in graphics and art direction, and what a better way to show this than a huge gallery of the series’ main character, Ryu.

So… not at all?
You might be able to tell how he changed over the years if these were actually laid out chronologically. They’re not. For example, Marvel vs Capcom 3 is in the middle but that game’s newer than SF4. Same for Street Fighter X Tekken. Capcom vs SNK is toward the bottom but should be closer to the middle, I remember playing it on my Dreamcast.
I never realised how huge his eyebrows are, until I noticed they partially covered up his headband.. wow!
Additionally, Alpha Ryu > all other Ryus.
Looks like he has been hitting the roids over the years!
