It’s called Before the Nexus, and is sort of a prequel to the Ratchet & Clank game released last month for PS3.
BtN popped up on iTunes and Google Play recently, with very little fanfare (I guess the game descriptions are fairly enthusiastic). You jump between grindrails, dodging obstacles and ruining enemies’ day along the way. Standard endless runner fare. You also collect Raritanium, which can by synced to your PSN account to be used in Into the Nexus to buy upgrades with.
It’s free to play, and can be grabbed for iOS here and for Android here. There’s a few screenshots for you to check out below:

Android version isn’t available in Australia. Does the iOS version work for anyone?
Open up the link on chrome on your device and you should be able to install it. Unfortunately none of my stuff is deemed compatible.
How do you think I determined it wasn’t available? :/
Strange, works for me everytime…
It appears to work if I’m signed out, but once I’m signed in and get directed to the page inside the Google Play app I get the black bar telling me no dice due to country. 🙁
Don’t use the app. Go to the play store in the chrome browser on your device.
I just tried that. Did you even try clicking on anything past the not compatible warning? It goes on to say that the reason is the country. Nice going.
They must have fixed that workaround
Yet another “lel made for US” post.. Seriously.. Why post it if we can’t download it?
one day Kotaku will stop being lazy and not post stuff across their regional websites without checking if it’s all relevant…maybe…actually probably not
I was kinda excited for a minute, but it ain’t available here 🙁
I opened up the Play Store while scrolling to the comments.
At least I saved myself a search… aha 😛
Have to agree. Sorry Kotaku ‘AU’, but if you’re going to present yourself as an Australian site, you need to check out these details before posting. Otherwise you just frustrate the very people you are trying to engage. It would be prudent if not professional to make it a policy – before posting/re-posting US-centric content, check its applicability to your antipodean audience.
