Gran Turismo 6 is joining that too-short list with its latest digital title update, according to the PlayStation blog. What else is there? Animal Crossing? And?
This is how the PlayStation blog describes GT6‘s new feature:
Birthday Login Bonus
An in-game car from a year near your year of birth will be sent as a gift when you log in to PSN. The gift car will be distributed within one week from your birthday (as listed in your Sony Entertainment Network account settings)

Little things like this will help you build and hold a community. I’d love to see more of it.

Seems they learned from GT5, where you would instantly get gifted a car in game from the exact year of your birth….. A lot of the $20Million classic cars in that game were the only cars made in their respective years… guess how many people played birthday switcharoo in GT5?
Wow. Edit this, please. It hurts so much.
Considering all my birthdays in online registrations are in 1901 – I won’t be getting anything flash!
Having bought a PS4 after playing predominately on the 360 (I have a PS3 also), I have been surprised by a number of little things Sony does that is so much customer friendlier than Microsoft (better free games on PSN, actual specials for games etc)
If you live in/visit Japan, you get a free pokemon in X/Y if you visit one of the pokemon centres in your birth month (a real one, not the game one lol). Can’t think of anything else at the moment…
Slightly different, but in Fire Emblem Awakening each character has their own birthday, and gets bonuses for that day.
