The sequel to Bayonetta got a new trailer today. Still cool, still chaotic, still stylish. Check it out here.
No word on a release date just yet, but Bayonetta 2 will be out on Wii U later this year.

The Cheapest NBN 1000 Plans
Looking to bump up your internet connection and save a few bucks? Here are the cheapest plans available.
You mean when it’s eventually released to other consoles?
…Sorry, I know WiiU-Fans I couldn’t help myself, I’ll leave now.
except nintendo are the ones who funded it…. so no that’s not happening.
I DON’T CARE THAT I TOOK THE BAIT.
Sega still have an ownership interest in Bayonetta, so it would depend on what the details of Nintendo’s publishing deal are.
Nintendo probably got quite good terms given they put up most of the money, but the contract almost certainly explains under what conditions the publishing rights would revert to Sega, and when it can be released on other platforms (the Wii U won’t be produced forever, so it would be silly to lock in to never releasing the game elsewhere).
Either way, if you decide to wait for the game to come out on other systems, you’ll probably be waiting a long time.
Well Kamiya has come out and said, if you want Bayonetta 2 on PS3 or 360 you have to ask Nintendo.
That pretty much say’s that Nintendo has the say on where the game goes, which means it will most likely never see a release on the PS3/PS4/360/One or PC.
Here’s a link to the article.
Kamiya says a lot of things, if anyone wants to see how a developer should treat fans (that is, not treating them like they are important) look at his twitter.
or just send him a tweet about bayonetta 2, he loves them.
I don’t understand why people think Bayonetta 2 will be coming to other consoles in future.
This is pretty much the same deal Microsoft has with Titan Fall and i don’t hear anyone say that Titan Fall is coming to PS4.
It’s really not that hard to understand, Sega holds the rights to Bayonetta and all merchandise, Platinum develops the games and Nintendo is funding and publishing the creation of Bayonetta 2 with the condition that it stays exclusive to the Wii U.
Well, it’s a shame I won’t be able to play it. Looks as insane as the first game. Ah well. Enjoy it, Wii U owners (and buy the bloody game, yeah?)
Without a Wii U….it wouldn’t do me much good 😉 (and no, I’m not buying a console for a single game)
‘Subtlety’ and ‘restraint’ still missing from the Platinum dictionary, then, thank goodness.
This is why I bought a Wii U (basically the few Wii U exclusives that looked cool)… I hope they let you use the Pro controller instead of the danmed tablet pad thing…
It looks like they’ve pulled her proportions closer to being realistic which is a bit of a shame. I rather liked the tiny head and crazy-long legs design they ran with in the original.
Ruined her, the day I read this was going to be a Wii U exclusive; Was the day I decided to be an Anti-Nintendo activist.
Graphics look amazing. I really don’t see the argument that the WiiU is not a current gen console.
