Jorge Lacera has spent the last six years at Irrational Games, working on the BioShock series (he was lead artist on Infinite). If that top image looks familiar, that’s because we actually featured it a while back; today’s gallery however will have a lot of BioShock in it.
You can see more of Jorge’s work at his personal site.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios.

I really like the Murder of Crows Seal.
Just going to point out that that Samus looks kinda like Lady Gaga…
Is Samus meant to be American?
She’s meant to be an orphan from a space colony who was raised by alien bird shaman people.
I think it’s just a cool picture. Non-canon.
Why don’t you guys at Kotaku showcase the painstaking and oft-overlooked work of animators? Why do only concept guys get the love? Do animators not “count” as artists? We slave away delivering thousands of frames of motion, study the craft hard and ensure you get smooth and natural feeling dynamics instead of horrible glitchy robotic crap. Where’s the love?
