The cult Nintendo DS game 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is coming to iOS in visual novel form on 17 March, according to localiser Aksys Games’ Facebook page. Called 999: The Novel, it will be a story-only version of the original game.
Despite that, it should still be a good way to check out 999‘s many possible story branches without replaying the entire thing on DS.

Huh. That’s actually kinda cool. Visual novels on an iPad would be great.
While it was maybe a bit too hand-holdy at times and bad at explaining at others, it was definitely fun to solve the puzzles and made this more appealing to play over than most VN’s in my opinion. I hope this version turns out well but I don’t get why removing gameplay was really necessary.
Damn. I was hoping for an android release.
