Three Australians Were Just Nominated In Microsoft’s Women In Gaming 2014 Awards

Microsoft just announced the nominees for its sixth annual Women in Gaming awards, and three Australians have been shortlisted.

Perhaps the most high profile of the nominees is Siobhan Reddy, Studio Director at Media Molecule, who we spoke to early this year, but it’s also heartening to see Giselle Rosman, who does an incredible amount of behind the scenes work with independent developers in Melbourne, get the nod as well.

Giselle Rosman is one of the key folks behind IGDA (International Games Developers Association) in Melbourne, and also helps organise the Melbourne’s Global Game Jam.

Australia’s third nominee is Anna Tito, a Gameplay Engineer at KIXEYE working on VEGA Conflict. This is actually her second nomination.

Siobhan is nominated in the Gaming Innovator category, Giselle is nominated as a Gaming Ambassador and Anna is nominated in the Rising Star category.

The award ceremony takes place at GDC on 20 March. Congrats to all three Australian nominees and good luck!
