Pirate Bay’s Oldest Torrent Is Not Porn, Music Or A Video Game

Torrenting may be a practice dominated by the sharing of movies, TV shows, music, porn and games, but the oldest active torrent on the internet is none of those things. It is, instead, a cookbook.

“Top Secret Recipes” was uploaded ten years ago, at a time when the Pirate Bay was, as TorrentFreak put it, “available in Swedish language only and hosted just a few hundred torrent files”.

The next two oldest files are “an Italian teen’s homevideo” and the Linux documentary “Revolution OS”.
