Did you think sports games would be safe from the industry-wide insistence on turning everything into a first person shooter? I hope not.
Yes, Supraball might add guns to soccer, and that might sound like an awful idea — but hey, it genuinely looks like it could be fun, judging from this trailer.

Supraball is the official successor of the infamous “Deathball”, a Mod for Unreal Tournament 2003/4 that first came out in 2002 and won plenty of awards, but in most people’s eyes it was always “just a mod“. We fixed that problem now.

The core gameplay is pretty much the Bombing Run mode in UT2k4. At one place I worked, we spent a lot of lunch times playing it and it was a lot of fun. Anyway, Quake had soccer mods way before UT2k4 did so sports games and guns aren’t exactly a new thing.
It may not be in first person, but Dead Ball Zone is probably better (and more fun etc) than this despite it’s age.
