If the experts are correct then there are only two Primal Rage 2 arcade boards in existence, giving it a near legendary status. Now there’s one sitting in the Galloping Ghost Arcade ruining all that elusive mystique.
Galloping Ghost’s Doc Mack says below that this is an original 0.36 prototype and potentially one of only two in existence (the other being owned by the game’s creator). Despite being almost irreplaceable it’s now been boxed up in a cabinet and put out for all to play (thanks Joystiq).
Here’s the original video of gameplay when the board was discovered in 2012:

Primal rage…. yeah…. game still sucks 🙂
loved that game when I was a kid. IT’S MORTAL KOMBAT…… WITH DINOSAURS
10 year old me thought that was the greatest thing ever.
still got a soft spot for it & I still think a remake / reboot would be amazing.
I hear what you’re saying… but the thought of dinosaurs fighting MK style is way better than the reality of PR (IMO anyway). I was a fighting game bandit and even as a kid I was like “meh”…. and I used to play some crummy ass fighters (Ninja turtles on SNES haha, loved it).
I just remembered MACE: The Dark Age on N64, what a game !
AH MACE: the Dark Age. Now that was a great game…
Nostalgia
No sound?
That guy needs to learn that there is more to the gym than bi curls.
Now that’s the kind of attitude I can get behind.
