Mike Tyson’s rehabilitation from ear-biting convicted rapist to popular culture hero is almost complete, with the former boxing star getting his own cartoon show on Adult Swim that’s a lot like Scooby-Doo. Only, with Mike Tyson in it.
The trailer is below. Know that Adult Swim’s official description is “In Mike Tyson Mysteries, a new half-hour animated adult comedy series, Mike Tyson is taking the fight from the boxing ring to the streets … by solving mysteries!”

This is why we can’t have nice things.
A convicted rapist has an animated show where his fictitious self fights and solves crimes?
Umm…
While the concept is kind of funny, this actually looks completely awful.
Solves / commits … close enough.
Seriously everyone? Am I the only one who thinks this looks hilarious?
To be fair, the animation is a bit higher budget than most adult swim shows, but the humor doesn’t quite seem quite as good as some of the network’s better shows.
The concept’s obviously ironic. I’d imagine that some of Tyson’s more, uh, notable incidents will be poked fun at in the show. Whether that will cause some, uh, incidents in the studio? We’ll have to wait and see.
Rick and Morty is pretty good though, so I’m watching this cautiously.
Yeah, I love Rick and Morty!
I guess its hard to tell from a teaser what the final product is really gonna be like. I’m willing to give this a chance though. As someone who watched the “Mr T.” cartoon reruns growing up, it does hold a bit of nostalgic value too. lol
lol I’ll definitely give it a watch.
