The Most Violent Game Boy Game Isn’t On The Game Boy

“Adventurer Lenna sets out on a quest to hunt down the Archangel that killed her child-prodigy students.” Well, we’re off to a good start.

Apart from child murder, Lenna’s Inception, a PC action-adventure game published by Starbound developer (and publisher) Chucklefish, features a top-down view with Game Boy-inspired graphics, procedurally generated locations, and “occasional gory scenes”. Gameplay-wise, it plays a lot like a Zelda game, though with “blood-thirsty pets”.

The game has an early demo you can try and its beta version is in early access at $US5 a copy. There’s also a shiny new website you can follow for updates.
