Everybody remember the Zelda rap? Well then, get ready for a drive down nostalgia lane where we are going to look at the history of the Zelda main series as told by its TV commercials.
And while this is not all the Zelda commercials by any means, these peeks into the past, showing how the games were promoted at the time of their original releases, are fun to compare and contrast with how we see the games now.

Also, the Zelda Rap and dance is the besssst.
Doing the same 🙂
Wow, the windwaker one really didn’t show much at all.
oh robin williams 🙁
Wow, every one of those commercials is equally bad (Ok I’ll forgive the Robin Williams one). The Majora’s Mask one takes the award for most pretentious, while the Phantom Hourglass gets the award for most blatant attempt at trying to reach out to a new demographic. I really loved the nostalgia hit I got from the early Zeldas though. The white boy rap, the line “your parents help you hook it up”, the cheesy live action sequences, even the voice of the narrator (he died didn’t he?) and how did I forget about “Now you’re playing with power!!”. Really wish I gave a fuck about Zelda, as this might make a good research topic for Uni.
