When the battery exploded inside Redditor tommyboy601’s PSP, he decided his time with the Sony portable was at an end. Rather than trade it in at his local GameStop for pennies, he built a fitting memorial to an old friend.
Mind you this particular old friend in an inanimate object. Just to be clear, if your beloved friend is a human being or pet, it is not cool to take them apart piece-by-piece and frame them — even if they specify that in their will. If I can’t be eaten by my family and friends when I die, they can’t be made into a work of art.
That took a dark turn. Just look at the picture.
Aw man, it was the Star Wars PSP. Now he’s going to be followed around by its glowing blue ghost.

A moment of silence for a trooper of a console *bows head*
This has reminded me of how much I used to love my PSP when I was at Uni. I’m going to pull it out tonight and fire it back up. I feel some Lumines coming on 😀
Dawe 🙁 i love my PSP… still gets way more use than my Vita… R.I.P
For the Special Edition of his life, it’ll be changed to a glowing blue Vita.
Later to be followed up by a cartoon reimaging of what his life was like during the 5 years we weren’t paying attention spaning over 4 seasons, a movie, some games and plenty of jumped sharks.
I miss my PSP…got mine when I was travelling to Perth and needed something to kill the time on the plane.
Now its in a million pieces after being “modified” both internally and externally and at one time it was even soft-wired into my car as a removable screen for music and movies. Good times.
