FIFA 15 is out already. And while he’s in the game, notorious Uruguayan strike Luis Suarez has had his availability cut to match the suspension he received in the real world for biting during the World Cup.
I never actually tried this, since playing as Barcelona is practically playing the game on auto-pilot, but if you do want to try and use him Eurogamer found he’s only available for exhibition matches. Try and use him anywhere else and you get a note saying he’s out until October 26, and try and find him in Ultimate Team and he won’t even show up.
This is pretty much exactly the case in the real world.

As much as I like to steer clear of the FIFA series and make fun of their incremental update schedule each year… I think this is a really cool way to link the game and reality together. I’ve seen my brother get the ultimate team cards and he says the black cards are based on the players’ real life performance. I don’t really follow football, but I just think it’s awesome.
even further than that all players have ‘form’ which is updated as they play better/worse in real life. this boosts or lowers their stats and as a result whole teams can be in bad form and be ranked much worse than they start as.
