At a gaming community event in Uganda the other day, the organisers thought it’d be fun to strap an Oculus Rift headset to one of the security guards. He was not ready.
It’s easy to laugh, but I sympathise. My first turn on the near-standard rollercoaster demo nearly had me doing the same thing, and left me feeling sick as hell for a few minutes after.
God help us when the consumer model, with clearer visuals, eventually hits.

Man i can’t wait to unleash this on my friends! That was gold. A bit cruel, but gold. I wonder what he was seeing?
Judging from the pitching he was doing, I’d hazard a guess it was the rollercoaster.
Also it looked like he was really into it, going woohoooo and all.
