It’s been a looooooooong time coming, but — according to a report on Game Informer — next year you’ll be able to get your hands on at least some of Final Fantasy XV, with Square Enix to release a playable demo of the title sometime next year.
Game Informer says this demo will show you some of the early part of the game, albeit with “some elements of the progression… altered in order to make it more suitable for a demo experience.”
They’re also saying that people buying Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which is out on March 17 in North America, will get a voucher to download the Final Fantasy XV demo.

Why was the story pulled? Has square Enix decided they need a bit more time to get ff15’s demo ready? Seriously though 10 years to prepare a demo??????
Was thinking why they pulled it myself. But perhaps Tetsuya is trying to keep it under wraps enough to ‘wow’ everyone when it unveils. For how long they’ve been developing this, it better turn out better than VII, VIII, X (lengthwise) and the KH’s (gameplay-wise). Atleast that’s what I’d like to think.

FFVII, VIII, IX, X& Vagrant Story. All released in a 4 year time frame. All (even VIII) will be superior to XV

FF15 may be killed by overhype syndrome – To be honest I was expecting FF15 to be getting its full release 2015 – Not for a demo to ‘maybe’ be announced. Although keeping in mind SE Wasted a lot of resources on FF13/13-2/Lightning Returns/FF14/FF14 – A Realm Reborn that seems to have set them quite far back and they are still picking up the pieces.
I’d rather them take their time and get this right to be honest. Considering recent > past games that have come out on PS4, I’d like 15 to be crystal before shipping.
Granted that it wasn’t really wasted in the case of A Realm Reborn. Square Enix demos have usually been of a pretty decent quality as far as representations of the game go. I still remember the FF8 demo that came with FF7, playing through the entire Dollet mission with access to some cool limit breaks and summons that you wouldn’t otherwise have had access to at that point and getting a solid feel for the game.
I loved those demos too! But remember these demos were from Squaresoft days – Not Square-Enix.
true, however dream drop distance wasn’t an awful demo albeit a bit short and light on the info you still got a feel for the game. that said I can’t recall any recent square enix demo, they did hitman absolution and released that sniper stage I think? or have I got my info a little off?
Ohh a demo! At this rate, the game will be our in 2025 or at the release of the PS6, whichever comes last.
