Are you missing a deleted character in World of Warcraft? Wish you could bring them back? Good news. You may be able to recover them using a built-in game feature thanks to an upcoming patch.
According to Blizzard, ‘resurrected’ characters will retain their enchantments, gems and items — you can even reclaim their names. But! There are limitations to undeleting a character:
- Characters under level 10 and Death Knights at level 55 are not eligible to be undeleted.
- Characters between level 10 and level 29 will no longer be recoverable after 90 days.
- Characters between level 30 and 49 will no longer be recoverable after 120 days.
- All other characters level 50 and above are eligible to be undeleted at any time.
- Please keep in mind you will only be able to use the undelete option once every 30 days.
So, if you fulfil those requirements, you’ll be able to bring back a deleted buddy sometime soon. Got plans to bring anyone back? Let us know in the comments.

Probably isn’t going to be retrospective unless its a relatively recent deletion.
Well it clearly states that it only works on characters level 10+ and only works upto x amount of days. So yes recently deleted 🙂
Clearly 🙂
Not sure why this keeps doing the rounds on new sites. You could always do this through a GM the process is just automated now.
Because it’s still a new feature to the game. Pestering a GM into restoring a character (which some people have been told couldn’t be done by lazy GMs) isn’t exactly the same as clicking a button and having it done for you.
Resurrect Cairne Bloodhoof and I’ll come back to WoW. Lousy bastards killed of my fave character.
