And presumably, it’s hella warm. Which is sort of useless for us heading into an Australian winter, but I still want this thing.
It’s only when the photographs zoom in close that you get a real for precisely how detailed this blanket actually is. I know absolutely nothing about how blankets like this are made, but I’m assuming that this kind of detail doesn’t come easily — look at the details on that Triforce! There are words on it and stuff for crying out loud!
Not only are there words — but the words are from the Book of Mudora. According to the quilt creator Slamberina, this was the worst part of making this quilt. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it was worth it.
I’m not sure if I have any need for a quilt in this goddamn infernally hot country, but if I did, you best bet I’d want it to be this one.

Yep, heading into that Aussie winter hey? 😉 You’ve still got your season around the wrong way ya made Scot!
Quilts like this take time and love mostly. My Nana used to make a quilt for every grandchild until she passed away a couple of years ago. Dedication is the key 🙂

Think you’ve got your seasons muddled up there! Looks amazing though.
That is a pretty damned awesome quilt.
I love it when my two loves (quilting and gaming) collide like this! 😀
And I live in Queensland and there’s always a use for quilts here…over your lap in winter while you’re playing games, over your bed to make it look pretty, on the floor for your kid to play on….
Yeah, as a Canberran, I use a blanket in winter, and a light quilt for most of the rest of the year.
