Luigi’s Mansion Is Getting An Arcade Game In Japan

Luigi. Arcades. Japan. OK, really, why the hell not?

Recently, a location test for Luigi’s Mansion Arcade wrapped up in Japan. Details are scant, but as website Games Talk points out, the arcade title is being developed by Capcom. The location text apparently contested of one stage.

In the past, Nintendo has brought in third party companies to develop arcade games. The arcade Mario Kart game, for example, was developed by Namco.

The Luigi’s Mansion Arcade location test ran from October 30 to November 3. According to Twitter user Sacchi, who attended the location test, the arcade version was “fun,” and the game “seems like it will be out next summer.” Hardly official confirmation, but there you go.
