Courtesy of an email today from GameStop, zombies will be returning in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s downloadable content packs.
Zombies may or may not make an appearance in the release version of Advanced Warfare, due out just about everywhere tonight at midnight, but according to an email sent out this afternoon by GameStop, they will definitely make an appearance in the subsequent four packs of downloadable content included in the game’s season’s pass.
This just in, Zombies are back as part of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare season pass! Stop by any GameStop to pick up one of the most anticipated games to launch this year, along with 4-multiplayer map packs, Atlas Gorge, and yes — ZOBMIES. All this is available for purchase today GameStop as part of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare season pass for only $US49.99.
It’s still up in the air if the zombies (ZOBMIES) will be returning as a standalone game mode with running story, or if they will be piggybacking on the game’s Exo Survival co-op mode.
I was really hoping for robots, dammit. At least there’s still hope for Spacey zombies.

Wow. Stripping zombies off the disc and now only offering it as season pass content. Or have I misread it?
Well done Activision if that IS the case. You’ve potentially just lost a *lot* of players.
There’s a separate survival mode similar to on MW3 I believe. Zombie is actually genuine DLC.
Yeah, sick of all this dlc content that could easily be included as part of the initial release.
After all you are paying anywhere between $70-100 on launch..
Orrrr $59 at Dick Smith
Or $59 on the U.S. Xbox live store
That’s the way I read it. No zombies as day one disc content. Added later as dlc.
This is the first time I won’t be buying a CoD as a birthday present to myself and after watching some of the Twitch streams, I’m quite glad.
And this, friends, is exactly why I’ll never buy a COD. Other than them being boring, of course.
Zombies at launch would of been a lot better! Survival is just crap.
Zombies has always been a Treyarch thing though. So I’m not surprised.
If Treyarch turns around and only offers it in paid DLC when their release is due, then I’ll pull the plug on the franchise. As it stands, Treyarch are my favourite cod developers.
Doh I got it for the zombie mode……how much is the season pass?
