Mega Man fans aren’t just hardcore. They’re dedicated. Case in point: this awesome fan game that two people have been working on since 2008.
It’s called Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen — and no, that’s not a Transformers reference. It’s a reference to the game’s story: Robot Masters have been revived by Dr Wily, and they’re looking for revenge. Naturally, it’s your job to stop them. And there are a lot of them.
Here’s a trailer:
According to the developers, the game features the following:
* 20 Challenging Levels
* 21 Tank Pieces to collect
* 10 Upgrades to find
* 1 Hidden Level
* Boss Rush Mode
*Tons of alternating and branching paths per level giving you full freedom how to best tackle any one level!
*3 Bounty Hunters who pop in randomly throughout the 10 Robot Master stages, its up to you to finish them off right then and there or fear facing them once again in the final stages where they will be harder!
Judging from footage, the game looks devilishly difficult. Fitting!

That would imply that Capcom actually cares about Megaman, which evidently they don’t 😛
The Mighty No. 9 received a massively positive reception and as far as we know Capcom couldn’t care less. It’s not like they are struggling or anything, but why would they completely shrug of one of the most iconic IP’s ever, consisting of a rabid fan-base that would literally pay for the game to be made?
