Drunk on the success of its virtual idol rhythm games on North American and European PlayStation 3 and Vita, Sega prepares to conquer Western 3DS owners in May with Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX.
The result of a partnership between Sega and Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid line of figures, the Project Mirai series offers all the rhythm action of the Project Diva series in adorable big-headed form. Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is an enhanced version of Project Mirai 2, released in 2013 in Japan, featuring 48 songs playable in both touch and button modes and and a ridiculous amount of customisation items.
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX will be available for download or purchase in North America on May 26, with a Japanese and Korean release on May 28 and a European release on May 29.

Day one!!
Yep, Finally 1/6 out of the gravity will be mine!
Awesome!!!!
Looking forward to this. Especially since Sega basically ruined Project Diva 2 on Vita by filling it with awful touch screen crap. The gameplay in this one’s much simpler and less annoying. Also it has Nendoroid style characters so it’s impossible to get angry with it anyway.
Yeah that touch screen stuff wasnt welcome. You can make it based off the sticks instead of the touch screen which makes it a hell of a lot easier to handle, but still… not too fun
The sticks only work on the console version though… pretty sure it was still touch on the Vita versions.
No no, I have vita version, changed it to sticks 🙂 just have to go into options
The only touchscreen stuff I find really offensive is instances such as in Two Breaths Walking where you need to do quick star notes interspersed with double star notes. Even after nearly 100 hours that sequence is a bit hit and miss for me. I otherwise enjoy the challenge of changing up the gameplay using touchscreen inputs.
I can’t reliably even get the normal ‘flick’ ones to work for me in the first game. The new stuff made it unplayable for me. Doesn’t help that the song selection is a step backward from the previous game either.
I was wondering when this game was gonna come out a few days ago. Been playing Project Diva 2 on the PS3, very enjoyable 🙂
Oh gawd… now I have Age Age Again! stuck on head xD
