Much like last year’s Hyrule Warriors, Dragon Quest Heroes has taken characters from its classic titles and given them an updated look for some good old hack n’ slash action on current gen systems. And while the design changes are often minor, I’d argue they’re definitely for the better.

Dragon Quest Heroes was released in Japan on February 26, 2015, for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. It is scheduled for a Western release sometime later this year only on the PlayStation 4.

I didn’t knew that Toriyama had designed characters for other video games expect Chrono Trigger.
He first designed the Dragon Quest art before his manga work with Dr Slump, if I recall correctly. Or they at least paralleled. He’s designed lots of characters for Squaresoft & other companies. He did all the designs for the Blue Dragon games too.
I enjoyed scrolling down the list to “and these new original characters” and thinking, yep, this is where toriyama’s influence ends
