Pac-Man, Pong And Space Invaders… All In One Game

Pac-Man, Pong And Space Invaders… All In One Game

You may never have thought of Pac-Man as peanut butter and Pong as chocolate but after playing Pacapong, you’ll wonder why nobody smashed them up together in this tasty way. And Donkey Kong? It’s the milk that washes everything down. Or something.

Created by designer Dick Poelen for the Ludum Dare 58 game jam, Pacapong is a multiplayer game where two players each control a Pong paddle capable of launching a Pac-Man. The goal is to gobble up more pellets than your opponent before time runs out. It’s not as easy as it sounds, though, since players can send Space Invaders at each other and will have to dodge a barrage of barrels from Donkey Kong, too. It’s just about as crazy as it sounds, as you can see in the video above where Tina Amini and I play two quick rounds. (Spoiler: She wins both times.) You can download it for free here.
