Fine Art: RIP Francis Tsai

Fine Art: RIP Francis Tsai

Acclaimed concept artist Francis Tsai, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2010, passed away earlier today. Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends.

Francis was a supremely talented artist who did work for companies like EA, Rockstar, DC Comics, Eidos and Marvel, as well as releasing his own art book. Even after being diagnosed with ALS and losing the ability to draw with his hands, Francis continued to produce art using special eye-tracking software.

Currently, the Nothin’ But Mech books — amazing collections of artwork from some of the best concept artists in the world — are donating proceeds from sales of the books (which Tsai features in) to Francis’ family. You can grab copies here.

Below you’ll find some examples of Francis’ killer art.
