This Week In Games

Again, a lot of games coming out this week on Steam (some things never change) but nothing that really leaps out at me. We have a really cool Team Fortress-style shooter called Block N Load, a Sim City style game about mushrooms and a Metal Slug-esque shooter set in the prohibition era. Good times.

Block N Load (PC)

What is it? A gorgeous looking Team Fortress-style shooter.
Should you care? Wow, this looks like a lot of fun.

Cloud Knights (PC)

What is it? One of those party/one-screen games like Nidhogg. Looks fun.
Should you care? I like these kind of games. Your mileage may very.

Earthtongue (PC)

What is it? Whoa, this is weird. And interesting. Look after an eco-system. Looks cool. Like Sim City for mushrooms.
Should you care? This looks really cool.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli (PC)

What is it? A Metal Slug-style 2D blaster with awesome art.
Should you care? This looks great. Super high production values.

in Space (PC)

What is it? A procedurally generated side-scrolling shooter.
Should you care? Why is this just happening now. Great idea.

Metamorphabet (PC)

What is it? A kids game that features an evolving alphabet.
Should you care? I have this on iPhone. I recommend getting it for a tablet or a phone. It’s actually incredible. Even if you don’t have kids!

Sky Force Anniversary (PC)

What is it? A top-down plane-shooting thing that I would love to play.
Should you care? I have a real love for those old-school shooters, again — your mileage may vary.

Solarix (PC)

What is it? A sci-fi horror game that caters to stealth/action playthroughs.
Should you care? Looks very cool. Worth checking out.

The Little Crane That Could (PC)

What is it? This is a crane simulator.
Should you care? I don’t know how to judge this at all.

The Perils Of Man (PC)

What is it? A cool looking Indie adventure game by people who used to work at Lucasarts.
Should you care? This looks like Grim Fandango. A good thing in my opinion.

Truck Mechanic Simulator 2015

What is it? When will this simulator madness end?
Should you care? Most likely never.

What are you buying this week? Anything? Let us know in the comments below.
