Today, Bungie released a new patch for Destiny, a video game in which players must travel the galaxy fighting against powerful adversaries like the Fallen, the Vex and Bungie.
In addition to expanding the vault (as seen above) and fixing a bunch of crippling raid bugs like the mysterious vanishing Crota sword, this new patch will finally implement the one big change that players have been requesting for months now:
The purple ball has been reborn in the tower as an interactive sphere with a parallaxed energy core that grows with object velocity and tints based off time of day
ALL PRAISE THE BALL.
Based on the notes, just about everything in the new patch sounds like a Good Thing for players — bug fixes, Eris Morn rep bumps, bullet sponge nerfs, etc. Pleasant news for those of us still bummed about House of Wolves not having a raid.

And yet no mention of the Star Ocean 5 announcement. Priorities for the love of all things sacred…!
Is there match making for raids yet?
noooope
God damnit… 🙁
Is that thing about the ball for reals? if so….logging in tonight!
Hate to be a dampener (and I know you are probably being sarcastic) but I actually hate the fact that the game needs so much work and yet they do trivial meaningless waste of time adjustments like this.
Best part of the patch is my ward of dawn now has a low energy warning when it’s about to pop. This is good
