The Roller weapons do look pretty OP though. After watching the Splatoon Direct, I can see what most teams are going to be. Roller leads the way, the two shooters provide back-up and then a charger who stays back and snipes everybody.
I used a splattershot to take out rollers over the weekend. If you see them coming, you have plenty of time to take them out.
I don’t think it is OP at all. I thought so the first couple times I got squished by one, but after playing a lot with it, I noticed people starting to get wiser to it. The roller is like a homing bomb. It does nothing all the way up until they are literally on top of you, but in that small moment it is infinitely deadly. Even the splattershot Jr can take down a roller running in his direction if he spots it in time. It’s all about being conscious of placement and of your surroundings.
I got destroyed by roller over the weekend. Then I switched to roller and started destroying myself. Too easy.
I played one game where everyone had rollers, it was really dumb!
SIGH* lifeinagro hits the ff14 nail on the head, so over trying to explain to people there rolls in dungeons.
