The Sydney floods were brutal, and we’re still suffering. Even in the realm of video games. We’ve just learned that as a result of the floods, copies of Project CARS on PC will most likely be delayed by a day or two.
Customers who pre-ordered Project CARS at EB Games were warned of the delay late last week.
During the recent heavy weather event in Sydney, our vendor partner’s warehouse and stock of Project Cars for PC were severely damaged.
Replacement stock is on the way, but unfortunately we can no longer receive stock early enough to ship the game for delivery on release day. Currently we are hoping to ship your order from our Distribution Centre on release day.
Namco Bandai confirmed it would most likely struggle to get PC versions of the game on shelves in time for the game’s launch, set for this Thursday. Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game seemed to have avoided the issue, confirming once and for all that Sydney weather is not a member of the PC Master Race. Apparently both EB Games and JB Hi-Fi will be affected.
The DLC paper codes were also apparently damaged in the storms. Namco Bandai is currently targeting this Friday for the PC release, so a minuscule delay in the grand scheme of things.
But this is Australia. A country built on the (normally reasonable) assumption that it will be sunny every goddamn day.

Been offline, had no idea it was flooding in Sydney.
Does this only affect physical release or is the Steam release delayed as well?
Just the physical release.
The big question, WHAT ABOUT MY COPY OF THE WITCHER 3? My Collector Edition!!!
It’s a lot better than it used to be. I remember waiting for the PAL copies of the big N64 games to arrive over here. Terrible waits.
We got the Xbox One and PS4 versions in store today, damn embargo though prevents us from selling it and me buying it
Can’t you just break street date for us? 😉

also, PC buyers should consider digital anyway, it’s cheaper!
Just saw a guy buy it in the line if front of me, I guess not everyone is sticking to the release date.
