This is a video of 2006’s Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox 360. Running on a PC. Well, “running”.
As you can see, it’s a mess. But that’s not the point. The point here is that the team working on the Xenia emulator are making good progress, and it’s progress that, however slight it seems in 2015, leads us down a path that ends some day with Red Dead Redemption on a PC.
Here’s another progress video, this time of Dragon Ball Raging Blast.
Not perfect by any means, but you’ve gotta crawl before you can walk (or ride a horse).
And remember, while these videos are for an Xbox 360 project, work continues on an emulator for PS3 games as well.

ohhh, bring on Red Dead Redemption!
While I think this is a cool idea why o why did they bother with that Sonic game
to make sure the emulator can run fast
This.
Get the basics down pat then start optimizing for the more intensive (and later released) titles.
Err, wasn’t that a pun?
Yerp, back in the early days of the Nintendo DS & PSP Emulation it was practically in the same stage as this is – half the textures not responding but gameplay is there.
Give them another year and they’ll be up and running primo. What would be amusing though, is if Microsoft releases their own emulation software with Win10, for 360 titles.
Gotta Go Fast
Interesting, considering (last time I checked, which was a while ago) the original Xbox wasn’t even able to be emulated.
Wait a minute, isn’t that how Sonic 06 runs on a good day?
This is great to see 🙂 making strides in emulation 🙂
Better off getting a modded xbox 360 if that’s your cup of tea.
