Everyone With Live Gold Can Now Play Smite On Xbox One

Hi-Rez Studios god-powered third-person action MOBA launches into open beta today on Xbox One, meaning everyone with Xbox Live Gold can play for free and no one ever has to ask me for a beta key ever again. Huzzah!

With its third-person camera and focus on active aiming rather than cthe click targeting of standard MOBA fare, Smite works pretty well on the Xbox One. I’ve been playing it on console since before beta was a thing, and it’s never let me down. The Xbox One version’s been running about a god or so behind, so without looking I’d say they have got the squirrel but not the chronic self-decapitator just yet.

Mythology is fun.
