He’s blue, has a glowing red visor and has gray hair. His name is Soldier: 76 He has a pretty cool backstory.
The idea: he’s the grizzled old soldier that used to lead the Overwatch squad.
They thought he was dead.
BUT NO. HE’S ALIVE AND HE HAS A VISOR NOW.
Sample dialogue (all grizzled and stuff): “Call me a vigilante all you want, truth is… I’m just a soldier”.
What does Soldier: 76 do? Mostly he shoots things and says lines of dialogue you might expect from a grizzled veteran with gray hair and a jawline that could cut glass. He looks a bit like an all-rounder, the kind of player you might want to start off with before going more specialised with Overwatch’s stranger characters.
Still, I remain impressed with what Blizzard is doing with Overwatch. I suspect there’s gonna be a lot more of these character reveals in the future.
