As an isometric fantasy action role-playing game, Victor Vran does a lot of the same things Diablo does. It also does several things Diablo doesn’t, which is what makes it awesome.
For one, it’s got a main character with an impressively gravelly voice. That’s not so much a big difference as it is the very first thing that struck me about Haemimont Games’s creation, and I’ve been talking like him ever since.
As for actual differences, there’s jumping. And double jumping. You can rotate the entire map around you, which is a feature I love. Then there’s the fact that the weapons you equip and outfits you wear determine your skills and affect your play style in significant ways.
Plus it just an incredibly solid and entertaining action role-playing game. My first five minutes quickly turned into my first half hour, which is why this post is late. Damn Victor Vran.

I forgot to mention the Destiny Cards levelling system. Or the demon powers. You should probably just play the thing yourself. Remember to speak all gravelly.
