Now this is cool — in honour of Star Wars Battlefront, Darth Vader is getting his very own PlayStation 4, which is a pretty decent reward for that whole redemption thing.
The limited-edition PS4 will launch on November 17 with two different bundles — one including Disney Infinity and one with Battlefront. Both bundles will include four old Star Wars games. Says Sony:
The bundle also includes Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition, as well as a digital voucher to download four classic Star Wars titles — Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter — playable for the first time on PS4, and sporting enhanced graphics and Trophy support.
Cool stuff. No word on pricing yet.

It just seems a bit…off. Also, A missed opportunity for using the light of the console as a lightsaber
Or anything except for a line through Vader’s head for no apparent reason. A blaster bolt, a starship/landspeeder/speeder vapor trail/exhaust streak (technically don’t appear in SW cineverse often, but…), a door opening/crack, creative use of that blue light for a Jango Fett design…. Anything really, use your imagination!
Instead a slightly dodgily shaded Vader.
Missed opportunity all round. The R2D2 inspired 360 still king in the Star Wars official limited edition console field. Which is admittedly a narrow field.
The colours on the controller makes it look like a cheap 3rd party one.
Question: Will the actual console have star wars sound effects like the one I linked below?

Sorry, but the R2D2 Xbox 360 craps all over this design.
Couldn’t agree more! This seems like a deliberate cash grab, at least the Xbox 360 was a deliberate cash grab with sound effects, awesome lights and was actually uniquely detailed even down to the 3po controller having art of exposed wiring at the bottom
Oh and the awesome R2 noises the console made when you turned it on
You read my mind! Attuned to the force?
Jimmy up there ^ already mentioned it
DICE tease ‘exciting Battlefront news’ on social media, and we get this. People with PS4’s don’t care, people who have no intention of getting a PS4 for this game don’t care. Everyone wants more info on the actual game, not on how many rocks they took photos of in the Middle East
“Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter — playable for the first time on PS4, and sporting enhanced graphics and Trophy support.”
So does that mean SW bounty hunter will be coming to PS4? because if so HOLY MOOCOW! I never got to finish it on PS2, would love the chance on PS4 😀
Is it wrong that I was more excited at that too? I don’t have a PS4 (3 year old kid and one TV doesn’t give me much time for console gaming), but I saw Bounty Hunter and thought COOL!!
