Podcast: Mario Maker Gets A Rivalry For The Ages

Podcast: Mario Maker Gets A Rivalry For The Ages

This week, a part of Patrick Klepek’s soul died. RIP.

You see, Klepek has spent the past few days slamming his head against a devious Mario Maker level created by Giant Bomb‘s Dan Ryckert. On Tuesday night, just after 2am, he beat it. But we’ll never truly understand how much he lost along the way.

Today on Kotaku Splitscreen, Klepek joins me and Kirk Hamilton to talk about all things Mario Maker. We also discuss Square Enix’s ridiculous streaming policies, fan translations for games like Mother 3, and how Ryckert-Klepek became the best rivalry in gaming.

You can download and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes right here. Subscribers will get every episode of Splitscreen before we even post about’em. Also, if you like this whole shindig, please leave a rating on iTunes, because apparently we need those?

If you don’t want to support Apple’s quest for world domination, you can listen to the show directly here (MP3 link).
