Disney Infinity 3.0 Should Have Led With The Force Awakens

Today we get our first look at the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens play set in action, and I’m finally excited about the combo.

Not that I haven’t appreciated all of the Star Wars characters in Disney Infinity 3.0 and enjoyed the two play sets introduced so far. It’s just that we knew Star Wars was coming to the toy-meets-games series for ages, and what we’ve gotten so far has been riffs on older material. The Force Awakens play set arrives on December 18, the same day as the new film, which means I’ll have a way for further explore whatever the movie has in store for me as soon as I’m back from the theatre, just like the relatively good old days of movie tie-ins.

See? Adventure! Excitement! I crave those things. I probably would have enjoyed a Star Wars: Rebels play set even more, but this’ll do in a pinch.

The Force Awakens set comes with Finn and Rey, with Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron figures sold separately. New outfits for Finn and Poe plus the Quad Jumper vehicle and an airstrike ability will be available in the Force Awakens Power Disc set.
