A boring photo of some kid’s messy room, right? Wrong.
A seventeen-year-old student in Tokyo who goes by “Mozu” created this 1/6 scale diorama of his bedroom.

Mozu introduced his work on the Japanese webforum 2ch and impressed the hell out of everyone.

Here’s a miniature he did of a bookstore.

Cool, no?

Some garbage. This work, however, is anything but!

He made the telephone pole. The buildings in the background, however, are real.
Here’s a look at his process:

Farout.
Insane!
Cool as fuck. Build awesome miniatures, crush pussy. Living the life.
That’s bloody fantastic. Could be a very valuable skill for movie work if studios still used practical effects.
There are a lot of movies that still do use practical effects. Very talented kid for sure.
True, though I don’t see miniatures with sets very often anymore though which is where this could really pay dividends.
He is only 17 years old? That makes it even more impressive, as I believe that is still high school age! :-O
Or….he’s a giant.
The Japanese are hiding something from us.
Attack On Titan :/
I’m going with this.
The curtains gave it away for me. Very hard to get cloth that will fold realistically at that scale. You’d probably need a very heavy material with a micro-fibre weave. I can’t pick any other faults. Incredible work.
