This is one of weakest weeks in games for a while, certainly the weakest of the ‘holiday period’.
Seriously, this might have been a better time for a certain game about raiding tombs to be released. JUST SAYIN’!
Bloodborne Game of the Year Edition (PS4)
What is it? A bit presumptuous. But yes. Bloodborne is the best, so I forgive it.
Should you care? This is Bloodborne plus the new DLC being released this week. If you haven’t played it, pick this up. Bloodborne is amazing.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Gentleman (Xbox One/PS4)
What is it? This is the fancy HD super version of the Borderlands stuff.
Should you care? Sure, I think so. This is a lean week.
Borderlands Triple Pack (360/PS3)
What is it? This is all the Borderlands games for the old consoles.
Should you care? I’m gonna say no. Most of us have moved on right?
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series (Xbox One/PS4/360/PS3/PC)
What is it? It’s the retail release of all the Game of Thrones Telltale episodes.
Should you care? I honestly haven’t been paying attention to this. I feel like there are too many Telltale games out there right now.
KRUM – Edge Of Darkness (PC)
What is it? This is like a proper 3D hack and slash type thing. It has Krum in the title which reminds me of Conan the Barbarian. This is a good thing.
Should you care? It’s got a pretty nice visual style. Might be worth investigating.
Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (PS4/PS3/360/3DS)
What is it? It’s a Kung Fu Panda game.
Should you care? I like the movies, I honestly do. But yeah, this is probably super bad.
One More Dungeon (PC)
What is it? A first person rogue like with retro visuals and stuff.
Should you care? This is a combination of generic indie game tropes that actually interests me.
Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul (PC)
What is it? This looks like some kind of 3D fighting game. Feels like we don’t get too many of these any more.
Should you care? Yeah I guess it looks good. Good enough to buy? Probably not.
Super Snow Fight (PC)
What is it? This is a game about snowball fights. How has it taken so long for such a game to get made?
Should you care? It looks okay. Actually it looks a bit rubbish.
Are you picking anything up this week? What did we miss? Let us know in the comments!

Also out this week:
Clannad (PC)
Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires (Vita)
Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (XBOne)
Konami has also said that Suikoden III should be out “Soon” for AU/NZ too so fingers crossed for an early Christmas present.
True about Tomb Raider. If it were released on a week like this without platform exclusivity it could have been quite huge.
Breaks my heart because it’s an amazing game.
Just finished the story in it, solid game but the story is a bit underwhelming and lacking in excitement imo.
I suppose it’s a good thing it’s a limited time xbox one exclusive because by the time it gets released on the other platforms people will be over fallout and will buy it. I know I will when it comes on pc…
Am I missing something with Borderlands the Handsome Collection? Hasnt this been out for almost a year?
Yeah, except this has the added ‘Gentleman’ tag in the title – what’s different from the previous release? Because if it contained the original Borderlands I’d consider picking it up
Just looked it up because I wasn’t sure either: https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-213583-Borderlands-The-Handsome-Collection-Gentleman-Claptrap-in-a-Box-Edition-ONLINE-ONLY-PlayStation-4
Holy crap. $479.95.
And you only get two borderlands games in it. Borderlands 2 and the presequel
That’s… Disgusting
But it includes a remote controlled clap-trap! Who else are you going to duet house music with?
I just bought the online version on Saturday for $40 (xbone) why has it been re-released?
Yep, Mark didn’t check to see what it actually was. It’s just a gentleman Claptrap version of the Handsome Collection, which has been out for ages.
You do know that Tomb Raider was released in the past, so you can still play it this week as if it just released, right?
Personally, I’m going to wait till the Christmas break, maybe even later. Still looking forward to playing Arkham Knight at some point.
NO! You can only play it on the release date!
You can only play it if you preorder it.
Don’t even joke.
We all know the gameplay degrades the longer you don’t play it.
It’s about time magnetic storage made a comeback.
I’m playing Final Fantasy VIII even though I have new stuff I need to finish 😀
LOL I was thinking the same bloody thing!!!
I don’t think there are too many Telltale games, it’s just the way we lump them together as series of games rather than a half dozen titles that are independent of each other. It’s like walking into a comic store. If you think you feel like you have to read all the Marvel ones to keep up it’s overwhelming, but if you just pick out the series you like the wide range is a positive not a negative.
Problem with this week is the last two weeks. What AAA title is going to try and compete with Fallout 4 and Star Wars?
Agreed. If you can’t get your game out in advance of these titles, then best to hold off a few extra weeks.
This is actually really good. If you enjoy Telltale games and Game of Thrones, this is a must buy.
do we have a best price for bloodborne?
