Video: The couch gag on The Simpsons will be little bit special (and longer) this week. It’s an ’80s-themed one, filled with neon lights and a beefy Homer.
It might be boring to see another clip with all these well-known, over-the-top ’80s references, but the redesigned Simpsons characters (especially Flanders) make the whole thing pretty good.
The couch gag will run as part of the upcoming episode “Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles” which airs on January 10 in the US.

that is fucking awesome!
I would seriously watch this.
This was pretty awesome…
For anyone who does like this I recommend checking out Kung Fury on netflix, quite similar and ludicrously hilarious
It’s also on Youtube and Steam for free
Well this is unnerving.
Things I noticed:
– Homer busts up a deal between Snake and Sideshow Bob (killing both)
– Homer and the couch take out Lenny and Carl at Flander’s mansion
– There’s a women sunbathing on the front of Flander’s yacht. Maude maybe?
i believe its his vegas wife and the other vegas wife was in the next scene with flanders taking selma hostage. also at the start with begining car chase one of vehicles that gets blown up is optimus prime in truck form without his trailer
Edit: Bart is also dressed up as the main character from Kung Fury
There’s also cameos from Apu and Groundskeeper Willie in the Diner, Moe, Barney, Krusty, Doc and Marty McFly and maybe a reference to Pulp Fiction?
I think it’s supposed to be Mr Burns as Doc, but then the Marty McFly just looks like Michael J Fox. Maybe it’s supposed to look like Smithers as Marty McFly?
The three words I never thought would leave my lips: Homer’s fucking hot.
These references were contemporary when the show started.
Someone who does Simpsons watched Kung Fury
