Pocket Mortys Released Into The Wild A Day Early

If you saw the news last week about how there was a Rick and Morty game based off Pokemon and thought, “Hmm, that sounds like it’d be fun”, then I have good news. It’s out a day early, so go download it now.

As Adult Swim confirmed last week, the game is free-to-play and the description says there are “over 70 bizarre Mortys to recruit and train”. “Assemble a dream team, then challenge rival Ricks by forcing your grandsons to battle each other,” the description on Google Play reads.

The mobile game also comes with a Blips and Chitz arcade, item crafting and “tedious side quests”. Users running Intel Atom chips, however, won’t be able to playthe game due to a glitch on those devices.

The game isn’t fully voice acted, and the mechanics are pretty much identical to Pokemon. You choose from a list of four attacks, switch your Mortys, run or deploy an item each turn. Winning earns you Schmeckles and Mortys can be captured by attaching a “Morty Manipulator Chip”.

You can download Pocket Mortys now through iTunes or the Google Play store.
