Activision has finally, officially, announced PlatinumGames’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, after weeks’ worth of leaked bits of information.
They describe the game as a third-person, team-based brawler, with each Turtle having his own playstyle and abilites. The campaign will be playable either in single-player or co-op. The setting, of course, will be New York, and you’ll be up against “aliens, mutants and the Foot Clan”, fighting bosses like Bebop, Rocksteady and Shredder.
TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan hits PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC this winter. You can find its announcement trailer above.

I hope TMNT here features some more Platinum polish and less Activision influence.
Not that Devastation (Or even Korra) was a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, it just wasn’t insane, had none of those intuitive Platinum QTEs and the soundtrack sucked (How’d you manage that with Vince ‘I wrote the music for the good movie’ DiCola composing?)
Considering the source material, I have high hopes. But Devastation harped the 80s hard and paradoxically ended up being incredibly sterile despite having a glorious wealth of stupid to toss in our faces.
😀
Keeeeeeeen!
I really want this to be good, but the last attempt at a ‘third-person, team-based’ TMNT brawler was the horrible Out of the Shadows so I’m not optimistic…
This one is by platinum, whole different kettle of mutagen.
They’re building a track record of saving franchises that Michael Bay has stepped all over.
Aren’t they doing a new Nier game as well?
Transformers, MGR, Nier and now TMNT.
If it wasn’t for the outlier in Korra, I’d say these guys are the ones to go to when you want to fix/rebirth your series.
I think Korra was a result of the client’s design brief, they probably wanted simple. And they probably didn’t want to spend much to make it.
That the result is a simple, cheap game shouldn’t really come as a surprise, it’s not like platinum forgot to add depth (if anything, games like w101 had too much going on).
Cowabunga!!!!
Oh, so it *is* by Platinum?
SIGN ME UP!
Best TMNT game was on the Mega Drive.
How can you “leak” officially? Isn’t that just a normal release?
