Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game Leaks So Much That There’s No Need To Announce It

Yesterday, the Xbox achievements leaked for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. This is not unusual; achievements almost always leak before a game comes out. What’s unusual is that nobody has actually announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

Info on this new TMNT game has been circulating since November, when intrepid database hunters found that Mutants in Manhattan had been rated in Australia. (Developer: Platinum Games; publisher: Activision). A few weeks later, art popped up too. Activision has held the TMNT licence for a while now, and they have partnered with Platinum a few times on licensed games, so this all seems to make sense. (Scan through the achievements if you want some idea of how this game could work.)

Yet despite all these leaks, Activision hasn’t made this thing official, which is pretty funny. What if they just never announce it? What if Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan just keeps leaking, bit by bit, until it finally just shows up on the Xbox store? I imagine they will decline to comment.
