Dayshot: This being the creator’s first attempt at serious animation, there’s lots of rough… animation, in the clip. And there’s also spoilers for Undertale’s Pacifist route, so if you haven’t beaten the game yet, beware. Otherwise, you’re in for a good time.
The short was made by DeviantArt’s WalkingMelonsAAA, and it depicts her version of how the Mettaton EX vs Frisk fight played out. WalkingMelons, by her own admission, was never taught animation and she doesn’t have access to the proper software, so she ended up drawing each frame, 741 in total, and joining them together in a video editing program.
It may be rough on a technical level, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. The ideas, the direction and the little additions and cameos are all great, and the art itself undeniably amazing. Check it out for yourself:

This is actually one of the better Undertale fan animations I’ve seen. Good job to the artist.
Though minor nitpick, you can clearly see Sans in some of the crowd shots even though he’s watching the fight on TV at Grillby’s.
I guess, but sans does teleport sort of… lol
This is amazing! Man, the music, the animation, the memories of that fight, it all come back and nearly made me a little teary. Damn that game. This is some pretty hardcore fandom, and some pretty spectacular work. Would love to see a full on proper animation, but then again, this story board approach almost seems better and more suited.
