Splatoon players have some pretty strong opinions about one of the oldest fights in video games, Pokémon Red versus Pokémon Blue.
As you might already know, Splatoon is holding a Pokémon-themed “Splatfest”. Basically, players choose a team — in this case, Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue. After picking one, Splatoon sorts players into teams. Players then duke it out against one another in the hopes of settling the age-old argument. Splatoon picks a winner at the end based on vote popularity, along with team wins. It gets pretty heated! Especially on Splatoon’s Miiverse, where players draw art lobbying for specific teams (or are making Pokémon jokes, period).
Here are some of the best Pokémon Red and Blue Miiverse posts.

Blue, cause I like Sandshrew
This is also a first because the Spatfest is occuring worldwide on the same day. Usually each region (US, Europe/Aus, Japan) gets different topics and at different times. This is the first global one, so it will be interesting to see which teams win in each region.
Blue because that’s the version my mother bought for me when I was young and I have developed a deeply emotional attachment to that version in order to ignore the deep-seated fear that I would have been better off with the other version.
Team Gary. 100%
i dont understand the question, it was always Red
Stupid Question Alert Whoop Whoop Whoop:
Where do you go to do the art work stuff for Splatoon
Not exactly a stupid question since I don’t think it was covered in the tutorial.
Just before the lobby opposite Judd there’ll be an orange post box (on the wii controller screen you can see it with a miiverse speech bubble). Just go up to it, press A and post away
Awesome cheers for that.
Duplicate post.
Red or Blue huh?
…I choose Yellow. 😛
Red! If I could speak/read Japanese, it would be Green! Go Bulbasaur!
