Video: Daredevil hurts bad guys very badly but lets them live. That’s not good enough for Frank Castle.
The second season of Netflix’s series about Marvel’s blind ninja lawyer sets up some core conflicts that will plague Matt Murdock, and includes snippets from the Punisher’s origin sequence. A certain ex-girlfriend of Matt’s shows up, too. Get your binge-watching sweatpants ready.

Still not sold on Punisher but I wasnt sold on Affleck as Batman in the beginning either. Looking forward to being shown how wrong I was for doubting the guys behind this series.
Man I hope one of these marvel series is lighter in tone at some point. Daredevil S1 was grim as all hell and this looks like more of.
Agents of shield, agent Carter…
Historically, most marvel stuff is lighter, only daredevil and Jessica jones are “dark”, and they both have to be because they’re joining up.
I think it’s interesting to see marvel beat dc at their own game, whilst maintaining the comedy in its other ventures.
The Netflix shows won’t be lighter. For the lighter shows you need to watch Agents of Shield and Agent Carter.
I do, I just found Daredevil especially over-grim. I’m happy for a serious tone, but it needs to be leavened somewhat so it’s not just people whispering conversations to each other for another eleven episodes.
Don’t worry Red (always wanted to refer to someone as Red, thanks that 70’s show) we’ve also got a Luke Cage and an Iron Fist series coming, which while I’m sure will still include all the dark broody angst will hopefully be a little lighter tonally.
Well thats my hope at least, Netflix tends to push the dark gritty vibe as it’s one of the advantages of releasing it themselves.
Not exactly saying tackling racism and mutilated hands will be a walk on the park but in comparison to Fisk and Killgrave they way its portrayed will hopefully be less dark alleys and more daylight fisty cuffs
Mutilated hands?
I expect that at some point in Iron Fist that he’ll likely get his hands rather messed up, seems to be bit of a thing that writers have a tendancy to do to him in the comics from time to time haha

It’s more Dr Strange’s thing though 🙂
I hope the Iron Fist series’ fight choreography tops Daredevil. He’s supposed to be one of the peak martial artists.
Also, Shang-Chi as a supporting character would be kinda cool if they stripped out the Fu-Manchu shit.
I hope Luke Cage is a bit lighter. FWIW, Jessica Jones had some moments of levity, and I hope Luke Cage lightens it again. It can still be street-level and realistic, I’m not looking for wacky hijinks, but even some superhero-y quips would be nice.
Id really love for a Luke Cage and Iron Fist team up series, those guys are great when they’re doing the buddy comedy thing.
Oh look its Shane … oh wait (TWD) … only finished Daredevil season one like a month ago, (was watching Jessica Jones first) atleast I don’t have a long wait till new season starts.
Wooh! Go Shane!
I think he’ll make a good Punisher.
