Punch Club Finally Reveals What Happens To Fluffy The Cat

If you spent some time earlier this year playing through Punch Club, chances are you might have wondered what became of poor Fluffy.

It’s all contained within an expansion called The Dark Fist, which is available for free this morning. It adds about three hours of content to the boxing simulator from day 6, although you’ll need to start a new game to get the benefits.

And the developers are pretty upfront about wanting to make sure you find the new content, too.

Yes, you will get to figure out what happens to Fluffy the cat. And yes there is a whole side-story to this. We definitely didn’t just forget to put the sprite into the new house and made this all up. Search for a briefcase in your house on around day 6.

Cloud saves have been patched into the game as well, meaning I’ll finally be able to take my progress with me on the train. There’s a hardcore mode too if the game’s regression and grinding wasn’t challenging enough. If you’re playing Punch Club on Android or iOS, you’ll have to wait until Friday for the expansion — but it’ll be released as a free update there, too.

Punch Club’s been one of the bigger indie hits this year, surpassing US$2 million in gross sales since it was advertised through the unusual method of the Twitch Plays channel. More than 250,000 people have picked up the game over the last couple of months, with more than 151,000 estimated owners on Steam alone.
