Hi-Rez Studios kicks off a week of second anniversary shenanigans in its god-powered multiplayer online battle arena with an open invitation to PlayStation 4 owners to play. Plus daily special events, some dancing and a ridiculously low price on every character in the game.
Following tremendous success on the PC and Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 version of Smite is now accepting all comers. The free-to-play game has been in closed beta testing for a bit, and now it’s almost ready for prime time. I’ve dabbled, and it feels a little better to me than the Xbox One version, but that might just be the new console smell.
Along with the PS4 beta there’s an entire web page full of special events and discounts happening this week, but the biggest news is that the Ultimate God Pack (or Founders Pack on PS4), which gives players access to every mythological champion in the game forever, is cheaper than ever this week. Normally $44.95 on PS4, you can snag it for $22.95 this week. On Xbox One it’s down from $39.95 to $19.98 (requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription), and on PC it’s down from $US29.99 ($39.37) to $US14.99 ($19.68). That unlocks all 74 gods currently in the game, plus every new god released until the game dies.
In closing, we have dancing.

They just created Australian servers for PS4. So we need more players.
Yeh I’m sitting in an AU server queue and its not popping. Hi-Rez need to put a banner up on the homepage letting people know of the server availability and how to change to it.
