Negasonic Teenage Warhead was put in Deadpool basically by virtue of a) being a character that wasn’t vital to the X-Men movies and b) having a really cool name. So it’s no surprise that she could have looked like pretty much anything.
Concept artist Joshua James Shaw posted a bunch of work from Deadpool, showing off the title character’s suit and the many, many possible looks for NTW. Unsurprisingly, Deadpool’s outfit looked basically the same from conception to execution:
All concept art: Joshua James
Negasonic, on the other hand, was given a bunch of options.
Honestly, given how stereotypically “sexy goth” a lot of these designs are, it’s a good thing that they went with a more “First Class” sort of X-Men design for her in the end.

Who is NRT?
Negasonic Teenagewarhead (the “R” is silent).
Negasonic Reenage Tarhead?
I’m glad they didn’t go with the promiscuous goth look.
So glad they settled on the look they did. The minimalism captured every single element they needed without going over the top. Add to that Briannas amazingly subdued performance and she was easily the standout of the movie (and among a movie of goddamn solid standout performances, that’s saying something).
So when she grows up, she becomes Negasonic Adult Warhead?
Those concept arts are closer to the actual character designs than the movie version was. NTW is just another CINO
Concept designs looks better and are more in line with the source material. They got her powers wrong as well, seems like they just liked the odd ball name.
Negasonic teenage warhead? Sounds like a shitty wanna-be punk band.
