There’s a chance that you might have most of these games already. God knows they’ve been on sale plenty of times over the last few years. But if you haven’t, or there’s just one or two games that you wouldn’t mind picking up for bugger all, then you’ve got just over 24 hours left to take advantage of a decent opportunity.
It’s Humble Bundle’s second mega Star Wars themed offering, and at the time of writing you still have a full day left to take advantage.
There’s a high chance that many of you will have quite a few of these games already, although the asking price is low enough that it might be worth picking up regardless just to gift the other copies away.
Tier 1: Pay US$1 or more
- Star Wars: Rebellion
- X-Wing Alliance
- X-Wing vs TIE Fighter: Balance of Power Campaigns
- Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga
- 10% off Humble Monthly coupon
Balance of Power Campaigns was an expansion for X-Wing vs TIE Fighter that added a storyline for the Imperials and Rebels. It’s obviously not on the same par as TIE Fighter or X-Wing as a singleplayer experience, but it’s nice to have nonetheless. It’s a complete offering too — you won’t need to own X-Wing vs TIE Fighter to get it going.
Beyond that, X-Wing Alliance is pretty solid. It runs nicely enough on Windows 10, if you’re interested. The other games have their fans too, although Galactic Battlegrounds and Rebellion never quite worked for me.
Tier 2: Pay above the average (currently US$8.01 at the time of writing)
- X-Wing Special Edition
- TIE Fighter Special Edition
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
- Star Wars: Dark Forces
- Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
- Star Wars: Battlefront 2
- 75% off any 3 Star Wars games in the Humble Store coupon
Don’t own TIE Fighter yet? Excellent. Today’s a great day to get on board. The fact that you also get some quality shooters from the 90’s — the singleplayer in the second Dark Forces game holds up well, if you can stomach antiquated design tropes — is an added bonus.
Oh and you also get the two Knights of the Old Republic games. The first is still one of the best RPGs ever made and still Bioware’s finest hour.
Tier 3: Pay US$9.99 or more to unlock
- Star Wars Empire At War: Gold Pack
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Exclusive Star Wars T-Shirt
You’d need to feel very strongly about the RTS Star Wars games, have a family or someone you play a lot of co-op games with to justify diving in this far. That said, Empire At War is genuinely quite good.
I mean, you can chase Admiral Ackbar around the galaxy with the Death Star and a bevy of destroyers. That’s not too bad, right? And you’re saving US$10 on buying the pack separately through Steam.
Tier 4: Pay US$34.99 or more to unlock
It’s a t-shirt from Fangamer. Looks nice, but I don’t know that I’d want to pay this much. I think I’d rather buy the Nuclear Throne shirt for US$24 instead.
So that’s the whole list. Head on over here if you’re interested.

Really great bundle, but I CANNOT get the remastered TIE Fighter to work, no matter what I do. Tried on both Win 8.1 and Win 10. Very frustrating.
Found this in the forums.
Solution 1: XWA Wrapper
The ddraw wrapper created for X-Wing Alliance now also supports the other games in the series (thanks to Reimar Döffinger).
Usage:
Grab the first download from here
https://github.com/rdoeffinger/xwa_ddraw_d3d11/releases/latest
and extract ddraw.dll and ddraw.cfg to the game directory
……\Steam\steamapps\common\STAR WARS Tie Fighter\remastered
Then righight-click on the game under the Library in the Steam client and select Properties.
Under the General tab click the “Set launch options…” button.
Enter
-softwarecursor
and click on OK.

Appreciate the help, but I’ve exhausted all of the solutions available online, and cannot find one that works for me.
I’m happy enough playing the Classic Edition right now. Still get to blast rebel scum.
Having not bought from Humble before… is there some way to link these to Steam?
Humble purchases include Steam keys where available (so many indie games will net you Steam and DRM-free versions, and in some cases the soundtracks), but the Humble Star Wars bundles tend to only include keys for the Steam versions of the games (since AFAIK the DRM-free rerelease versions are only on GOG)
Good to know… thanks.
I can confirm that all the games in this particular bundle are through Steam. You just need to plug the provided keys into steam while logged into your account, and they will appear in your library.
Thanks.
Sith Lords kills Kotor1! No competition!
I agree in principle, but wouldn’t say there was no competition.
KotOR 2 Sith Lords is a great game. In addition to great writing, it benefits from having an updated engine and many tweaks over KotOR. It is on the other hand weighed down by bugs, an unoptimised combat system and a story plagued by cut or missing scenes and quests.
KotOR has one of my favourite twists in any video game. It has the nostalgic virtue of being the first in the series, and the first opportunity for many to role-play a Jedi. Also, I kinda had a thing for Bastilla.
It wasn’t without its faults though. Whiney Carth. And there was a reason KotOR 2 never used the Cathar character faces. Juhani’s mug was hideous.
I mean, they look like good games, but I swear I’ve got all the Star Wars games there are in one of the many many many Star Wars sales on Steam. And if I don’t have them yet, and haven’t noticed…
